School Counseling     The role of a school counselor is vital to the growth of a successful school. The American School Counselor Association has set goals for school counselors to focus on the areas of academics, careers, and social/personal development. A school counselor is an advocate for students that collaborates with parents, teachers, community members, and administrators to ensure all students have the appropriate tools/skills to be successful at school. The school counseling center is a safe haven for students to have a chance to express their thoughts and feelings.
