I will be teaching Physical Education, Health, and Fitness. I started my education at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville in 1985. While at UT, I played basketball for the legendary Pat Head Summitt. I was a member of her first National Championship Team in 1987. I went on to earn my Bachelors Degree in Physical Education in 1990. I then started my teaching career in Atlanta Public Schools in Atlanta, Georgia. While teaching PE at Mary McLeod Bethune Elementary and Coaching Girls Basketball at Booker T. Washington High School, I somehow managed to also acquire my Masters Degree in Education from Georgia State University in 1994. I moved back to Tennessee and spent the next 20 years coaching and teaching PE at Freedom Middle School in Franklin. And now, I am ready to work with the amazing students here at Kenwood Middle!!

My philosophy is to assist students into becoming life-long movers who make healthy choices to ensure their personal well-being.
